By the end of the course, students will have a solid understanding of how to implement an efficient and effective management system within a business enterprise, enabling them to compete successfully in the era of globalization.
Business Communication
This course is designed to develop students’ effective written and oral international business communication skills. Topics include the necessary conditions for effective business communication, the processes of business communication, effectual message content creation, and appropriate media selection. The emphasis is on technical and theoretical aspects as well as on a comprehensive framework that can be used to develop effective communication in an international business context. This framework can also be used to evaluate business communication practices.
Financial Accounting
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of the regulatory framework relating to accounts preparation and to the qualitative characteristics of useful information. It covers drafting financial statements and the principles of account preparation. It concentrates in depth on recording, processing, and reporting business transactions and events. It then leads to two directions: firstly, requiring candidates to be able to conduct a basic interpretation of financial statements; and secondly, requiring the preparation of simple consolidated financial statements from the individual financial statements to group incorporated entities.
Religion and Meaningful Life
Agama dan Hidup Bermakna (Religion and Meaningful Life) offers undergraduates a deep dive into understanding happiness and fulfillment from diverse religious and secular perspectives. This essential course challenges students to explore and evaluate how different worldviews shape human experiences and contribute to our sense of meaning in life. Covering major world religions—including Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity—as well as topics on the existence of God, religious pluralism, and the philosophy of a flourishing life, the curriculum fosters a broad, inclusive exploration of what it means to live a meaningful life. Through a carefully designed syllabus that blends philosophical inquiry with practical insights, students will engage with questions about happiness, relationships, success, and the significance of virtues. The course also navigates contemplations on death and the afterlife, encouraging a holistic reflection on life’s ultimate questions.
Corporate and Business Law
This course provides a broad overview and legal knowledge of substantive business law topics and legal issues. The course examines the practical aspects and strategies that a person or a company is likely to encounter while doing business. During the semester, students will be introduced to legal concepts that they can apply in a business context, so they can become better critical thinkers and make effective business decisions. Areas covered include business associations, contracts, intellectual property rights, and dispute settlements. The course is designed for students with limited or no legal knowledge who wish to become familiar with the common principles and practices of general business transactions.
Economics
Economics is an introductory course tailored for first-year students, offering a comprehensive overview of both microeconomics and macroeconomics principles. Within the microeconomics framework, students explore the dynamics of demand, supply, market equilibrium, production processes, cost analysis, and pricing strategies. The macroeconomics portion broadens the scope to include discussions on economic growth, welfare, real sector analysis, and the intricacies of fiscal and monetary policy instruments. This dual approach equips students with a robust understanding of economic theories and their practical applications in analyzing market behaviors and economic policies. Human Capital Management
This course focuses on the strategic role of human resources in achieving organizational success. It explores the complexities of aligning human resource management (HRM) with corporate strategies, highlighting critical areas such as talent acquisition, development, and retention. The course offers insights into foundational aspects of HRM, including creating competitive advantages, strategic planning, performance management, compensation, and the global challenges of HR management. International Business Management
International Business Management explains the exchanges between two or more parties across borders. The course studies how firms export or import products/services to customers in another country. This practical knowledge is preceded by relevant theories such as globalization, country factors, the global monetary system, and global business strategy. The course also teaches holistic thinking as a critical thinking skill necessary for managing global businesses. This skill is expected to enable students to strategize international business operations involving entry modes, marketing, supply chain, accounting, finance, and human resource management.
Financial Management
Financial Management focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and supervising the company’s financial activities to maximize shareholder wealth. The course covers a basic understanding of financial statements, the time value of money, capital budgeting, capital structure, the cost of capital, and the valuation of financial instruments such as stocks and bonds. It also introduces basic investment planning concepts that link the concept of risk and return.
Statistical Analysis for Business
Statistical Analysis for Business is an undergraduate course that empowers students to harness data for insightful decision-making in managerial roles. Students are able to comprehend State Ideology in the history of Indonesia, the Foundation of the State, National Ideology, the System of Philosophy, the System of Ethics, and knowledge development. They are also able to apply the Values of Pancasila.
Analytics for Business
Analytics for Business is designed to demystify the world of data analytics within the business context. This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of data and the overarching purpose of business analytics, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. It covers data visualization, storytelling with data, and various tools and methodologies for processing data, enabling students to transform raw data into meaningful insights for solving business problems.
Strategic Management in the Global World

Export-Import
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of export-import management, focusing on international trade and logistics intricacies. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of international business, including the advantages and competition within global markets, specifically emphasising Indonesia’s commodities. The course covers essential aspects of export-import planning, international trade processes, regulations, and terminology.
Entrepreneurship
This course provides students with an understanding of the process of entrepreneurship from ideation to completion of a business idea and the way to present the idea properly. Students will exercise their entrepreneurial mindset by observing the market, finding problems to solve with a business idea, and developing business models using frameworks like the Value Proposition Design and Business Model Canvas. The course includes creating and presenting a pitch deck for potential investors.
Kewarganegaraan (Statemanship)
This course delves into the intricate framework of Indonesia’s National Identity, exploring its juridical definitions, the pressing challenges in cultivating a robust identity, and the crucial role of government and societal collaboration. It covers the urgency of National Integration, principles of democracy, rights and obligations of citizens, and national resilience.
Country Competitiveness
This course provides an in-depth understanding of a country’s competitiveness and the methodologies used to measure it. Students will explore the ultimate goals of national development, positioning competitiveness as a key objective, and examine how historical contexts, beliefs, and ideologies shape societal progress. The Leadership Enhancement Project (LEAP) is a distinctive 20-credit semester that offers students experiential learning opportunities beyond the traditional campus setting. Through LEAP, students can gain practical experience in real-world environments, applying theoretical knowledge to actual challenges, enhancing professional skills, and expanding their cultural understanding.
LEAP is mandatory for at least one semester, with the option to undertake up to three such semesters. Students receive comprehensive support, including pre-departure orientation, ongoing mentorship, and post-experience debriefing, ensuring they are well-prepared and can reflect on their growth. This transformative semester cultivates future leaders equipped with the skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in diverse and dynamic environments. Below are the options:
Students who wish to expand their global mindset and experience are invited to join LEAP Global Exposure. The two options are exchange, study abroad, or double degree.
Doing an exchange or study abroad program, the students can spend a semester at a partner university abroad, immersing themselves in a different academic and cultural environment. This opportunity allows students to gain new perspectives, enhance their language skills, and build an international network. Our partner universities span from Asia, Europe, The U.S, and Australia.
Students who opt for a Double Degree program will spend two semesters at a partner university. Upon completion, they will receive degrees from both their home university (PCU) and the partner university. This option not only enhances their academic credentials but also provides a significant competitive edge in the global job market. Joining double degree programs is your golden ticket for a global career, and our global alumni network is a testament to the success and value of this program.
In the LEAP Industrial Experience semester, students participate in internships within organizations in Indonesia or abroad. The Capstone Project is a pivotal semester designed to culminate the academic journey of students by offering them a choice between two intensive, real-world application projects: a thesis project or a business consultancy project. This semester enables students to synthesize their learning and demonstrate their expertise in a specialized area of interest, providing a platform to showcase their analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Students opting for the thesis project will engage in rigorous academic research on a topic relevant to their field of study. This option involves identifying a research question, conducting comprehensive literature reviews, employing appropriate research methodologies, and presenting findings in a well-structured thesis. The thesis project is ideal for students who aspire to pursue further academic research or a career in academia, as it hones their critical thinking, analytical, and academic writing skills.
Alternatively, students may choose the business consultancy project, where they will work directly with a company or organization to address a specific business challenge. This practical experience involves conducting in-depth analyses, developing strategic recommendations, and presenting actionable solutions to real-world problems. The business consultancy project is designed for students aiming to enter the professional world immediately, offering them the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical business scenarios, enhance their consultancy skills, and build a professional network.
Throughout the Capstone Project semester, students receive guidance and support from faculty advisors and industry mentors, ensuring that they can effectively navigate their chosen projects.
