IBM Business Competition is an annual business competition conducted by International Business Management Program of Petra Christian University for high school students all over Indonesia.
IBM Business Competition 2020 with the theme "Acclimation: The Boundless Revolution" is inspired by our dynamic world that keeps evolving, where the students' adaptability will be put into test. Through the series of games and challenges, the participants will be able to enhance their abilities to face various situation in just two days of competition.
This year's IBM Business Competition 2020 will also be different. The competition will be conducted online using various platforms such as Google Meet, Google Classroom, and Kahoot and we will present new games and challenges like never before. The limits of the participants will be tested, both mentally and physically.
In the last session of IBM Alumni Talk Series, we invite Felix Aprilio Rahardjo, S.E., the founder of Kintsugi Visual, to discuss about the adjustment in the business strategy due to Covid-19, including the innnovation and new strategy in a creative visual communication industry. Together with Liem Pei Fun, S.E., M.Com., CFP, CSA, Felix will explore many business opportunities and choices one could take in the creative visual communication industry.
In the third session of IBM Alumni Talk Series, we invite Wiranti Widyastuti Hadinoto, S.E., the owner of Candi Aluminium and Nyonya Ranti Artisan Dessert, to discuss about the Dos and Don'ts for entrepreneurs in the future. Together with Dr. Ricky Wang as the Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics, Wiranti will give her insights on how entrepreneurs and business people alike try to make the right decisions in this Covid-19 era.
In the second part of IBM Alumni Talk Series, we invite Andre Winyoto, S.E., the chef owner of NeoTepan "Japanese Resto" and JIROU "Modern Family Resto", to talk about the future of restaurants. Together with Mr. Lianto Darmawan, S.E., M.F.M, CFP, Andre will dissect further on how the Covid-19 might affect the restaurant business. He will also share his recommended future plans to deal with the "new normal" that every restaurant owner is now facing.
In the first part of IBM Alumni Talk Series, Albertus Andre Sujarwo, S.E., M.Sc., will do the honor of opening the series with the theme "Is Digitalization the Solution?" Together with the Head of IBM Program, Ruth Srininta Tarigan, S.Kom., MBA, Andre will discuss how digitalization helps businesses to achieve cost efficiency, restructure the businesses as well as the new skills needed for this new digital era.
Seminar in International Business (SIB) is a yearly collaboration between IBM’s 7th and 3rd semester students. Under the course of Seminar in International Business, 7th semester students conducted three mini seminars, all of which were presented before the corporate partners of IBM. The overall event itself was organized and run by the 3rd semester students under the Marketing Management course. With the grand theme of Final Frontiers, the topic of the three seminars were Alibaba and Tencent: Tag-Team Rivalry, Fiat and Chrysler A: Breaching the Frenemies Frontier, and IKEA in Russia: The Frontier between Ethics and Excellence.
The three mini seminars, which lasted 20 minutes each, were attended by 46 corporate partners, such as PT.Sopanusa, PT. Moduit Digital Indonesia, PT. Samudera Biru Internasional (Samator Group), Sinar Mas Land, PT. Indoprima Gemilang (Indoprima Group), PT. Meratus Line, PT. Indofood Bogasari, and many more. The event concluded with a networking dinner where the companies and the 7th semester students could mingle and interact to discuss possible future internship and work placements.
